| After
leaving Bay in the middle of 11th grade Diane moved to Erie PA and
then Pittsburgh. She has lived in Virginia Beach for forty
years now and loves the beach life. In 2000, after teaching
Special Education for more than 32 years, Diane retired.
Then decided to worked part time for some friends who have a video
production company. She is now fully retired and spends her
time ushering at a local performing arts venue, taking interesting
classes, kayaking with friends and working a few hours a week for
a 91 year old lady. Diane lives with a very cute but
mischievous kitty named Zoey. In the summer she shares her
house with some foreign students who come here on work visas.
She travels whenever possible and recently went to Alaska with
friends and to Key West with the Parrot Head Club. Life is
good.

Dave and his wife Kathy are still living
in the middle of Florida although they do feel it's getting a
little crowded with folks escaping from the north. Dave wonders
about life in South America. They are now up to seven grandkids
(from the same three children, no additions there).
Everybody's doing fine. Their son that is a Navy physician
recently returned from a tour in Iraq. That was traumatic
for them worrying about him and for him patching all those
wounds. The other kids stayed home (Alabama and Florida) and
safe. Dave was going to retire when
he hit 62 this past summer but was so busy he forgot. He
is still a counselor and supervises teen substance abuse
programs. 12/08 Dave has
received good reports recently and is still cancer free.
He is now able to eat a limited menu. He is feeling healthy
enough to attempt some travel Just finished his first trip
recently to
San Diego
to see his son and family. Other trip planned is to come
to Bay (hopefully for September 12) and come to the frozen north
when the weather improves. (Twenty-five years of warm weather
have left him unwilling to suffer the cold.) Dave is officially
retired but does some consulting and occasional work in
alternative high schools. He says he is having great fun staying
in touch with old "kids" from Bay. He had a visit this
fall from Ed Kresge as he was passing through from one continent
to another.
